BANK RATE  --9.00%

REPO RATE   -  8.00%

REVERSE REPO RATE -  7.00%

MARGINAL STANDING FACILITY RATE  - 9.00%

CRR --4.75%

SLR    --23%

The bank rate is the standard rate at which the central bank buys or re-discounts bills of exchange or other commercial papers eligible for purchase under Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.

While repo rate is the rate at which banks borrow overnight funds from RBI against government securities, the MSF rate is the penal rate that banks should pay if they borrow from RBI by dipping into the SLR holding of 23 per cent.
