a 4 cm. cube is cut into 1 cm. smaller cubes, we will get 64 such smaller
cubes. The 8 cubes on the edges will have 3 faces painted, 8 cubes in the 2
middle rows in the inner segment will have no faces painted. 4 middle cubes on
each face of the larger cube, i.e 24 smaller cubes will have 1 face painted,
and 24 smaller cubes will hence have 2 faces painted.

the opposite faces of the cube is painted in red, blue and green, the edges of
the cube will have the union of the three colours. When the cube is cut into
smaller cubes, the 8 such smaller cubes on 8 edges will have 3 faces painted in
3 different colour.

3.a; It
is evident from the diagram, that Kumar and Prakash are sitting either side of
Sudhir.

is evident that Geetha and Radha sit on either side of Sumathi.
