ABOUT THE DRIVE
The Union Territory of Puducherry seeks to leverage the potential of Information and Communication Technology to transform itself from a Resource Based Economy to a Knowledge Based Economy. In this pursuit, ICT Academy of Puducherry would empower the faculty members and students of Puducherry UT with ICT knowledge and technology.
ICT Academy, is focusing to improve the quality of teachers and students passing out of institutes and colleges in Puducherry to make them industry ready and immediately employable in the ICT industry comprising the ICT services and the ICT Manufacturing sectors. This will meet the skill requirements of the industry and generate more employment in 4 zones of the Union Territory namely Puducherry, Karaikal, Yanam and Mahe.
ICT Academy, Puducherry has trained more than 2,500 faculty members benefitting 1,00,000 students across the state. ICT Academy, Puducherry shall ensure that the training of Faculty Members is broad based reaching the 4 zones of the UT. ICT Academy is conducting standard technical programs addressing the the needs of the ICT industry. ICT Academy is also conducting specialized programs based on specific industry needs from time to time.
ICT Academy of Puducherry creates opportunities for trained students by ICT Academy through State / Central Government projects to participate in common placement drives to be conducted across Puducherry. This initiative is supported by corporate in order to provide an opportunity for students in the Tier II and Tier III Cities to showcase themselves to organizations and obtain their dream campus placement offers.

LINK is a common placement drive initiative designed exclusively for the institutions associated with ICT academy that aims to facilitate campus recruitment across the state by partnering with leading corporate houses. This initiative bridges the gap between the students looking for their dream jobs and the companies hunting for fresh and unexplored potential.
