There are Certain steps to follow for this recruitment. The
job is surely attractive but the way to go about is not. Candidates Eligible
need to appear for the preliminary examination and the main paper both of them
are online on a specified date at the specified venue decided by the concerned
SBI authority. On the Admit Card of the candidate. the date and venue will be
mentioned. After clearing the first preliminary round the candidate will move
to the next round, consisting of 2 phases of exam divided into two languages
English and Hindi and no regional language is available. Negative marking
exists in the online tests. After that, a GD round will take place and selected
candidate from there appear for personal interview which will be the final
round and will help to induct a person for the post.
All the documents should be submitted according to the
requirements mentioned in the notification. Eligibility criteria also matters a
lot as it can make a difference between acceptance and rejection of the
candidate, that is age limit cannot be more than 30 years with age relaxation
for people belonging from different category, 3 or 4 years of graduation or
equivalent and other criteria which can be viewed on the website of SBI after
the announcing the notification
A student who is in their final year can also attend. Admit
card for the SBI PO examination is available to students ten days before the
exam is scheduled for, Candidates can download the admit card from SBI’s
official website. Candidates need to login to their account which they
registered from and candidates need to compulsorily bring the admit card along
with their ID proof to the exam centre allotted to them. The result of SBI PO 2018
prelims, mains and final interview round to be published as per the official
schedule, the details of the same will be given in the official notification,
as the exam is conducted on 3 stages the result for preliminary exam will be
out on 17th may 2018, main examination result will be out by around 19th June
2018 and finally the result for final selection will be out by the first week
of August 2018

I will add one more point --- A candidate was selected for SBI PO Interview in 2017. Prior to this he joined as an Assistant in an insurance company and was busy. He did not check up the interview call letter. He did not procure the character certificates that are required and his request for a day was turned down by the Bank and he missed the chance. He had scored good marks and he would have got into SBI as PO if only he had scored 6.1 marks out of 25 in the Interview.. He missed the bus this time. So candidates must read the advertisement, call letters fully and carry out the instructions contained therein.
