Hi Friends,
I completed my graduation in 2018 & as this was my first attempt, my nervousness reached its peak. But hopefully got to manage it soon.

I reached the venue at 11:35, and quickly approached towards verification & biometrics. The staff was very helpful but didn't compromise with any of the documents. Soon biometric was done and I was allotted No. 2 & asked to wait till further orders. At 1:15 three of us were called upstairs and asked to sit in the common area. My heartbeat was 3 times faster. Soon they informed that panel has gone for lunch. After half an hour they returned & that was "Showtime". So here is how my interview went.

ME: Gave them two reasons, First - the Banking Recruitment process which is very fast paced & absolutely fair (thought it was a unique answer), Second - as my uncle has a retail shop, I usually sit there in my free time so I am well versed with customer dealing and I don't panic in front of 10 strangers at the same time plus I won't have much problem in adjusting to the banking business culture (were satisfied with my answer).

M2:
आपका account किस बैंक में है?
ME: Sir SBI.

M2:

Panel III: 5 Members

Total Members: (4 Male, 1 Female)

"Slowly opened the door and asked for entry. Then greeted all the male panels and for madam separately".

Starting from my right side M1 asked me to introduce myself. I was about to start, but M2 (senior most in panel) interrupt before I could speak and asked the meaning of my name. I told them. Then they asked me about why I am not working at ISRO. I had mentioned about my project work there for about 2 years. I told them about the eligibility criteria for giving exam 70% . I had 68.7%.

Then they switched over to asking about my work at Bank of Maharashtra as I have been working there as a cashier for about 4 months. First question I was asked that what was the yesterday's news for my bank.

I thought that they might have seen some other news which I hadn't seen as I didn't get time to see because yesterday I left the branch late and immediately had to take bus to interview city which is 8 hrs away.

So, I told them that sir yesterday's work was very much tiresome as 25 new accounts were opened and had to punch ATM cards for all same day as per instructions from higher authorities. Work was more as Manager sir was on leave yesterday. Then madam asked at what time I left Branch then. I told her that it got 7 PM.

Then they asked that didn't I see anything about NPA. Actually it skipped my mind at that time. Then I mentioned about 2 other banks being removed from NPA too.

Then they asked about the branch and how much business it's doing. It told I don't know even approx as I am yet to see it. Since I am single clerk there, not much time I get to see other stuffs and it's been only 4 months approx of working here.

Now they asked me about my extra achievements. I had submitted some certificates of participation at national and international events for Sudoku competitions and there was one winner certificate too among them. This went on for about 4 minutes.

And after that they told thank you for coming and wished me all the best. I greeted them all and then left the interview room.

After interview 4 employees there at Central Bank (it was that bank for venue) came to me with one of them being the guy who check my documents before interview. All asked me about how the interview went. They asked me about Sudoku and it's scope. How it's solved. This went on for another 5-6 minutes. It became another interview after interview. And all 4 shook hands with me and wished me good luck for success and then i left the interview centre.

Hi Friends,
When I reached the venue it was 08:45 AM and I had to sign in the register at the gate(everyone has to sign). As I was late the security personnel asked me to go fast to the third floor and while I was for the lift I could see many people being seated in the waiting hall (parents, friends and guardians). I reached the third floor and i was asked to check the serial number and sign. The serial number was '11'. I quickly approached towards verification & biometrics. The staff was very helpful but didn't compromise with any of the documents. Xerox facility was available at the same place. We were seated according to the serial number in a common room.

At 10'o clock I was asked to go in. I got very tensed and  my heart started to beat rapidly(As like you would feel when you speak to your crush for the first time).I took and deep breath and knocked the door. They said "come in''. That's when the interview started.

"At the center sir with a suit and others formally dressed. Good Morning Mam, Good Morning Sir"

Panel members were very smiling & the person at the center said ''Your tie looks good"
(I smiled and said thank you sir)

M1: So Vignesh, recently our Hon'ble PM Modi visited Madurai and a few people were showing black flags. What do you thing is it right or wrong?
ME: Sir the government taking many steps and are forming many schemes for each and every state equally without any partiality. Few people may be against the schemes so they are showing black flags.(I was trying to be diplomatic)

M1: That's okay. What do you thing is it right or wrong?
ME: Sir protesting is not unconstitutional and it is a part of democracy. So,it is right.

"Everyone was done and said thank you".

ME: Thank You Sir and Madam!

I am an engineering graduate in ECE from chennai. I completed my graduation in 2017 and started preparing for bank exams. I failed in RRB clerk'17(mains), IBPS PO'17(prelims) and IBPS clerk'18(mains). So don't worry if you have not done well. Don't lose and keep putting your efforts consistently. Definitely you will clear the exam one day.

At this point I would like to thank my friend Siva Subramanian who is the reason behind me choosing to prepare for bank exams and without him I would not have definitely cleared the exam. I also also thank my friend Subhash for motivating me whenever I felt low.

Overall My interview was good considering it was my first attempt. Hopefully i get placed. I would be really thankful if my experience helps someone.

PS: I took mock tests  from Bankersadda for both prelims and mains for IBPS PO/CLERK. The prelims and mains pattern was similar to that of ADDA247 mock tests.I am immensely grateful to the ADDA 247 team.
